So, here it goes!!
It has been an amazing 2 years since purchasing the Inn! I have stay involved with the Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens, Boothbay Region Land Trust. Teaching xc skiing, attending volunteer docent training at the CMBG.
Visited innkeeping friends in Southwest Harbor and friends in Sullivan, Maine-that was a great couple of days away.
I have also made a few minor changes at the Inn, some new curtains, moving around some furniture.
I have spent this past winter working on Marketing online. Social Media is all a buzz in this industry and many others as well. I am gaining many great contacts through Twitter, and have caught up with some great old friends on Facebook.
My daughters turned 26 and 28 this year, the youngest graduated from nursing school, they have both been doing a lot of traveling, one is in Greece for a couple of weeks while I babysit my grandcats!!!'
I have had some challeges as well here, a roof leak that ruined 2 guest rooms ceilings, getting estimates to change over my heat/hot water system-I am in the final stages of a decision of staying with oil, going to propane or solar. Yes, geothermal was a consideration as well.
Solar hot water is going to be it I hope! The heat issue is still up in the air.
I did not that these things were coming down the pike' but hoped the economy was in better condition before it occured-but, this actually could not be a better time it may proove to be.
So, with the recomendation of a couple of great guests I have here this weekend! I am "back on the blog" and hope to stick with it!!!
